How we work
Our approach.
We work closely with your own vet. We are not a replacement but a complement. That is why we take the time to assess each case properly, examine only what is necessary and agree together in advance on what is achievable.
Imaging
Diagnostic equipment
Digital radiography, ultrasonography and gastroscopy are available. Existing images are taken into account; further diagnostics are only performed when they add value.
Time
Room for every case
We set aside enough time for examination and discussion. If you cannot stay yourself, hospitalisation can be arranged in advance. We also agree with you on how we communicate: an update at every step or a full overview afterwards.
Collaboration
With your own vet
Cavalyx works alongside your regular vet. Findings, treatment and aftercare are clearly coordinated, so that everyone works from the same plan.

From first contact to aftercare
What to expect, step by step.
Every case is different. Examination, treatment and follow-up are tailored to what your horse needs, where appropriate in consultation with your own vet.
First contact
Directly or through your own vet.
Contact by phone or email, directly or through your own vet. We look at the question and decide together on the next step.
If you already have reports or images, please send them along.
Assessment
Clinical examination and, if needed, imaging.
If needed, clinical examination or imaging follows. Existing examinations and findings from your own vet are taken into account; further diagnostics are only performed when they add value.
Treatment or surgery
Approach, expected outcome, alternatives and costs discussed in advance.
When treatment or surgery is indicated, we discuss the approach, the expected outcome, the alternatives and the costs in advance. You receive clear instructions, including on admission and, where needed, fasting.
After the procedure, we call you to let you know how everything went.
Follow-up
Instructions for aftercare and rehabilitation.
After treatment you receive clear instructions for aftercare and rehabilitation, tailored to care at home. Re-examinations take place only when medically necessary.
Findings, treatment and aftercare are coordinated with your own vet. For any questions, Camille remains your point of contact.
